Acland Street St. Kilda is known for its cafes and cake shops, fashion and Melbourne ambience. I painted this in summer - the strong contrast of light and shadow is something I love. The palm trees are so St. Kilda too. There are lots of keen cyclists in Melbourne, and he was just passing by at the right moment.
